DIGITAL SKILLS AND SOLAR POWER TRAINING INITIATIVE

The Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) Digital Skills and Solar Power Training Initiative is a transformative program designed to empower youths from oil-producing communities in Abia State with relevant 21st-century digital and technical skills.

The project focuses on equipping 240 participants annually with practical knowledge in Web Development, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, UI/UX Design, Solar Power Installation, and CCTV Installation.

Training will be delivered through a hybrid model, primarily online via the ASOPADEC Learning Management System (LMS), complemented by a weekly physical session for hands-on engagement, mentorship, and evaluation.

This dual-learning approach ensures accessibility, inclusivity, and efficiency while maintaining high-quality learning outcomes. The program also includes a structured post-training pathway, freelancing, startup incubation, business development, and job placement, ensuring participants transition from learners to earners.

ABIA SMART AGROTECH & DIGITAL FARM ESTATE INITIATIVE (ASDEI)

The Abia Smart AgroTech & Digital Farm Estate Initiative (ASDEI) is a transformative agricultural technology and youth empowerment program designed to establish smart, technology-driven farm estates across ASOPADEC zones in Abia State. The initiative integrates precision agriculture, IoT-based farm monitoring, drone surveillance, digital farm marketplaces, and smart irrigation systems to enhance productivity, profitability, and sustainability.
